Delete Your Account

NewDay — NewDay Software Solutions LLC

You can delete your NewDay account and all associated data directly from within the app. No email required, no waiting period — deletion is immediate and permanent.

How to delete your account

Open the NewDay app on your device.
Tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the Home screen.
Scroll down to the Account section.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.

If you use NewDay anonymously (without creating an account), there is no account to delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

Your email address and authentication credentials
Your recovery progress — stage, streak, XP, and start date
Your intervention session history
Your relapse event log, including any trigger categories and optional notes
Your trigger map data
Your subscription status (managed via RevenueCat)

What is not affected

Reflection journal entries — these are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. They are removed when you uninstall the app.
Subscription billing — if you have an active subscription, cancel it through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) before deleting your account to avoid future charges. Deleting your NewDay account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Retention period

All account data is deleted immediately upon confirmation. No data is retained after deletion. Anonymized, non-identifiable aggregate statistics (if any) are not affected.

If you are unable to access the app or need assistance with account deletion, contact us at support@trynewday.app and we will delete your account manually within 30 days.
